With membership fees and registration fees paid by our members, HSS continues to pay for national ads to promote Heritage Shorthorns. The Livestock Conservancy (LC) publishes a full color quarterly newsletter, and HSS has an ad in each one. Attached is a copy of the ad in the current (Summer) LC newsletter. A similar ad is also in the most recent edition of the Small Farmer’s Journal (Vol. 49, #4).
A long time member of HSS, Dale Hart in Texas, has saved a paper copy of each of the HSS monthly newsletters going back to the first year of HSS in 2018. The new Calf of the Month for August is a Heritage Shorthorn heifer that is sired by a well known Canadian bull that was very popular in both the U.S. and Canada during the 1970’s. She is the only known currently alive, full Heritage heifer that is out of this bull.
