Verified Heritage Bulls which have tested free of the 4 main genetic defects

The Bulls listed below have each been tested at nationally recognized labs for the presence or absence of the 4 main genetic defects which can occur in Shorthorns, and each bull is Negative for all 4 conditions. The 4 tests are TH (tibial hemimelia), PHA (pulmonary hypoplasia with anasarca), DS (digital subluxation), and Myo (myostatin, Double Muscling). *This list does not infer freedom from any other possible genetic defects for which commercial tests are not yet available.

Additional Verified Heritage bulls, which you may be using in your breeding program, can be added to this list just by sending a copy of their Negative test results to our office. Adding a bull is free for HSS members, or costs $60/bull for a non-member.
